This sick Christmas elf is waiting for the dandelion snow to melt. Too bad it's not manna that disappears or can be gathered and eaten.

A few months ago a friend invited me to her online party for a book company. I won a prize in their storytelling contest. I ended up ordering a book for my dd but I forgot about the contest. Well the prize came in the mail today. It's a really neat set of wipe-off activity cards and three little first adventure books. A perfect gift to put up for Christmas for our very sweet niece. :toychase:

Enjoyed some fun time playing at the creek last night. Love making summer memories. Almost as much as making Christmas ones. :smilecc:

Well it is 9:48AM here and 89F on its way to 109+F today. The only summer memories I made was picking up the mail and taking out the trash. I'll make memories when cooler weather arrives here......before Christmas! :snowwow:

Merry Friday Christmas! We are still having what should be summer high temps today. It is hopefully cooling off a bit for the weekend and National Day on Monday. I do not think we will need to take winter clothes as we go on the cruise closer to Santa's Christmas headquarters. I will take the denim shirt I have to wear as mosquito protection and a light hoodie and hope I get cold.

I think I found the perfect Christmas in July gift for Perky (and me).
Since Perky works in a high crime area and I work as a janitor as well as an admin, we do not wear our "real" wedding rings to work. So I was thinking of these...

They are Hawaiian wood and tungsten rings. We had talked about getting wood rings for our 5th anniversary (you know, the "wood" one) but never did because one or both of us were unemployed then.

It's hot here too plus a ton of humidity. It can wear you down. Nothing like this past Christmas.

Stay cool my friend!
