It is getting pretty "old" now, but was one of my first favorite "modern" classics. I love Christmas in July but it seems more and more those that celebrate it, celebrate for the whole month. To me, that's too much. We decided a few year's ago that one week was enough of a taste of Christmas. I Think if I were in the US, I would record all the great Hallmark shows and Watch them later in the month. I was even browsing some Australian sites where some now complain that "Yulefest" lasts from June -August. hm..........I guess that means I do Think about it earlier.......oh well, guilty as charged. Christmas sigh..........

You know, Jolly, if I lived in a more temperate climate I think I would agree with your point of view. But, since it is over 110F here all July & August, I love the cold icy feel of Christmas movies. Either way, I compete with children for viewing preferences so I know I'll be singing along to "put one foot in front of the other" and "snow misser" all month. :D

Last night I realized we still had two door pulls decorated for Christmas in the study. The large jingle bells are brass and blend into the drawer pulls. I just laughed in Christmas joy! :D

I keep a set of jingle bells on my front and back door all year round, it helps with knowing when the youngest decides to go outside to be able to hear the jingle bells, and it gives me a Christmas memory as well. :smilecc:

Half Christmas falls on Midsummer day here. Have to remember to pick up some hazelnut coffee and muffins. Or we could always toast the day with cider and strawberries!

Merry Friday Christmas!

Just love the idea of cider & strawberries on pre-Christmas Leon Day! :scene:

Hee hee. Cider here is a more like fermented Apple soda served cold. There are also non alcoholic carbonated versions. However my mother did send some of the American hot packets. Just checked the weather Leon Day is supposed to be hot. Time for a Christmas movie.

too christmas cute. I will be pulling out the emergency christmas bag aka Christmas in July bag in about a month. Since European door handles are not round, I hang the door pulls on my kitchen cabinets. would love to find some Electronic gadget that makes a christmas sound when the coffee maker is done.........

it's not Christmas, but we just watched an episode of Mr Ed with a hawaiian theme. Made me wish it was Christmas in July. I was just wondering if I should take my Christmas in July week vacation next year the week of the 25th as I have since coming to Europé or the same as the Santa World Congress........decisions decisions.

Definitely on my bucket list.

This also came up on my annual Christmas in July web search. It's in Australia and definitely on my bucket list, though less doable than Copenhagen. They really know how to celebrate in Australia!

Did you see if the Hallmark app is compatible with your Cable/satellite provider? I can't get FeelN on the Ipad because it won't let me download the app because I am in Sweden. I hope it works on the Netbook, will be interesting to see if it Thinks the Netbooks is a device or a "computer". I have not had a chance to see if they had anything special for Father's Day.

It is hot and humid for Stockholm today. Not like Christmas weather at all.

What is the one activity you will do this weekend to keep your heart full of Christmas?

I will watch Christmas cartoons with the kiddos.
