I'm making homemade cinnamon rolls for breakfast this morning. The whole house smells like Christmas.

I love Cinnamon rolls at Christmas time. They are a warm comfort food to me.

Michelle and I had fun in Madison, GA today. It was a 90 minute drive northeast thru the Oconee National Forest. So beautiful. I didn't buy anything, but I did stop in an antique mall that had a Christmas booth. I was so temped to a lot of things. But I didn't. We just don't have the room to set out any more decorations.

Great Christmas shopping photos CC. Do what I do: sort through your old Christmas decorations and discard any non-treasured broken items first. Then you can replace them with new Christmas decorations. Lights are always broken; wreaths & garlands get worn out; etc. Works for me!

Yesterday was unbelievably hot. The heat index went between 105 and 110. This is end of July and August heat for us. Getting a little relief this morning with clouds from nearby thunderstorms. Bring on the Christmas cool.

We have 3 weather advisories for the next 10 days: excessive record-breaking heat, highest pollen count and severe dust storms. I am dreading this horrible weather. Like you, CC, we usually don't have these warnings til monsoon in late July or August. They're now predicting it will last til September. I need to move to the North Pole -- and before Christmas!!

Let's move to the North Pole and really have Christmas all year1!!!

Right now it is 116F and on the way to 120F today!!!! Yes, let's move to Santa's Christmas village!

We had a beautiful day today. Mid 80's with low humidity.
But just like Christmas, all good things must come to an end. Mid to high 90's all week and next week looks like it might be the same.
