Actually, we did just that! No lights due to forest fires in that entire vacinity but we hungs pine cones, flowers, nuts & ribbons on one tree outside our cabin!

That is so Christmas awesome. Did you get a pic?

We saw Independence Day Resurgence late last night with family. If you liked the first movie, you will like this one because it follows scenes in sequence. By far Brent Spiner as Dr. Okun and Jeff Goldblum give very good performances. It was a good movie prior to the 4th....good but not great in my opinion. There was not a single preview for a new Christmas movie! :|

Absolutely Ms Jolly! This Christmas elf would babysit for you if she lived in Sweden. Just love the pictures of Zoe & Zelda!

Considering what we will probably pay the cat hotel, it's one half ticket to the US. It would be tough to get you home by Christmas though. :muffs:

Oh good point! You can tell her that she just celebrated Half Christmas, or Christmas in July! We took our Half Christmas coffee and muffin tradition from a combination of the Swedish fika and a blog I read a couple of year's ago about "half birthdays". My cousin wanted to start "half birthdays" when her youngest was 6 months old, so I did some reading (I'm the intellectual one). I found this girl's college blog where she talked about growing up they got a "half bundt cake" from the grocery store (wonder if they still have those.......) and half a birthday card and she and her twin exchanged a "half" of something (earring, sock, shoe, etc) with the other half given at some random non holiday like Columbus day or something. Even into college her parents would send them "half" birthday cards. Why do these things stick in my brain??? Because they are too Christmas cute?

Leon day sounds like a Swedish name day, so we took the cake/coffee/flower tradition. I think Perky wants to make more of it next year. especially since we disagree on the day......hee hee. He just wants more Christmas, gotta love him.

Watched Santa Baby 2 last night for some Chrismtas cheer. It is called Santa Baby 2 Christmas maybe.......definitely maybe. NOt as good as the first one. With all the great Christmas movies out there is you have to choose between this and something else, try the something else. I can't say we will be watching it again, too many great ones out there.

I just checked IMDB, except for Jenny McCarthy and Mrs. Claus all the other characters were different actors than the original. George Wendt made a great Santa in Santa Baby (2006). That is definitely a Christmas movie to watch again. Too bad, so much potential. Cute sets and costumes is the highest praise I can give it. I think SnowGlobe is up tonight. We have seen that before. It is cute, I think there is now even a Snow Globe 2, but I am skeptical of follow ups......
