Father's Day fare.........Mexican food. Dad had a red-chili chimichanga with Spanish rice & beans; Mom had a chicken enchalada with beans; and the children and I had a variety platter. Dessert was home made chocolate-chocolate mouse filled - cake with chocolate icing -- his fave! :dinner:

For Father's Day it was pizza and salad. Lots of family were moving sister-in-law, so there wasn't time to cook up anything.

Tonight - we're eating out - it's grocery shopping day!!! :D

Awwww! I love tacos and fajitas, but my husband doesn't care for them at all. Mexican style food has never caught on here. Instead its Indian ie: curries, which I think are absolutely vile.

I think tonight I'll do some nice baked potatoes, veg and a bit of shrimp.

Taco night was a bust - hubby worked late so I just substituted precooked chicken and steak strips and we had salad wraps instead. So perhaps tacos Thursday night.

Tonight I'm going for roast - wish me luck!

Yummy fresh Pickerel with vegies. :dinner: Pass the lemon!

Tomorrow night, it's Vegie Lasagna.

Mrs. C - I remember the first time I had tacos. I was thirteen and my friends dad made them for her Birthday party. Fridays at our house, we took turns picking the menu for dinner, for several months in a row, when my turn came I chose Tacos or spaghetti with chicken in the sauce.

Note: Tacos are not a good first date food. Very messy, but yummy. I haven't had tacos in about fifteen years, chicken fajitas have taken over - we have them twice a month.

Menu change for tonight :dinner: pork ribs with smokey & spicy BBQ sauce & potato salad.

Noel, I haven't had garlic mashed potatoes in along time. I'll have to do that again.

When I was fifteen, my dad started cooking and trying things out on me because I seem to rather enjoy food, anyway - there was something in his potatoes once that I couldn't quite place. Eventually I determined it was peanut butter. It wasn't much, just a bit of flavour, but still it seemed strange.
