I haven't seen any Christmas commercials. Maybe it's because I'm mostly watching the Olympics or football.  :P

I watched an episode of the Drew Carey show. Mimi's Christmas outfits are hysterical.

It amazes me that the major flooding disaster in Louisiana is not getting more news coverage. These people have lost everything. And I can't even imagine how they are going clean up from this. There are many donation locations set up around here and I know individuals who have taken it upon themselves to take whatever they can and just go and help. So thankful that the beautiful Spirit of Christmas lives in us year round. Many, many prayers for Louisana. :rabstar:

Dear Bag69, thanks so much for taking the time to write a review and I am so pleased that you were able to celebrate "Christmas" with us - we do have a great staff! The tradition is that all National Parks celebrate Christmas on August 25th! You may want to make sure you plan your next trip to a National Park around those dates as well. Thanks so much for staying with us! Dee Dee

Jolly: according to that blurb, dated September 25, all national parks observe Christmas in August on August 25th. I must have never been in the right place at the right time. The only things I find on the net are for Alaska. Have to keep hunting.

Yes it is heartbreaking! The people of LA need a little Christmas spirit right now. The average American is concerned and doing what they can to assist their fellow citizens.
