Gold would be a fantastic contrast or blue would stay with the "cool" as opposed to warm Christmas color theme.

Thanks Jolly. I always lean towards cool colors when decorating and use them most at Christmas time. I think a change would be a very good idea. We voted: gold is it! :smilecc:

Last night we had an official .45 seconds of rain. That's right. It thundered and lightening strikes were clear in the sky while the sun shone brightly. Then a 'spit' of rain. Of course that was after I had sprayed for weeds an hour early. Time for a Christmas elf to have a good sense of humor. And........spray for weeds again!

We are all so tired of the heat here we are taking a drive up north this morning to spend the day in cooler climbs. As I love forests I am looking forward to the scent, beauty and peaceful walk in nature. It will smell like Christmas! I am going to pick up pine needles and cones off the ground to use when I decorate this year!. :D

Most of you on here know that I have two children with Autism, well my son who is 12 and is still in love with Thomas the Tank, in fact he will sit for hours watching Youtube videos about Thomas the Tank and the different trains that go along with it. He came home from school today and as watching one of the videos and they were showing a kid getting some of the trains and "unboxing" (his word)them, I asked him who it was and if he wanted it and he said "Santa will get it for me", he may not know how to tie his shoes but he knows who Santa is and what Santa does, I will take that as a even trade. :smilecc:

That sounds too Christmas fun. How far "north" do you have to go? Is it a day trip? or an overnight?

We took a day trip which is 3.5 hrs there and another 3.5 hrs returning home. To go further north or west requires a weekend. It was green, cooler and gorgeous. And I adore the smell of pine, first and birch needles not only at Christmas. :peek:
