1. Watching Carols by Candlelight with my parents as a child

2. Sitting around the big family table for Christmas at my Grandmothers and having to sit on the phone book because I was too small to see above the big table.

3. Being so excited about Santa arriving that I could not sleep and every sound definitely sounded like reindeer hooves.

4. Getting a silver watch from my parents

5. Getting my first bike.

3. my mum letting us stir the big heavy bottomed pot she used to use to make the fruitcakes.

4. snowy Christmases. There doesn't seem to be as many of those as we had when I was a child.

5. Christmas and Boxing Day dinners with masses of relatives.

 Better grab a snack, this might take a few minutes. HaHa.

Five first Christmas memories as a child ...

The needles falling off our real tree the week before Christmas because we put it up too early and it got a little dry.

Santa's beard tickled my cheek when I hugged him after whispering what I wanted into his ear.

I remember all my older aunt's were wearing dresses and one of them had knee-high stockings and I tried really hard not to giggle because that would have been rude, but when she sat down I could see her knee-caps and the top of her legs. Surprised that image stuck with me. I used to sit on the floor when we had company so most of the time I saw our guests legs before I saw their faces.

When I got my Newborn Thumbelina doll and I was so excited my mother thought I was going to go into convulsions.

Relatives laughing, talking and singing along to the Christmas music that was playing in the background while I was fighting to stay awake leaning against the wall near the stairs.

"Now please share 5 scents make you think of Christmas!"

:scene: There's so many smells that bring back, but I'll try to stick to five ...

Any flavour of cocoa, but Hazelnut cocoa really brings it out ties with Chocolate - although it sometimes reminds me of Easter, Christmas is the first holiday that the smell conjures up
Scotch Tape - pine needles - ummmmmmm
Tie between English Leather cologne - used to give it to my dad and male teachers also in the form of Soap-on-a-rope & bubble bath - I used to give my aunts and cousins when I was little and couldn't afford much.
Clementine Oranges - when I remove the peel, I say, "ummmm smells like Christmas"
Cranberry, Cinnamon and Vanilla scented candle - it was only lit once and when I passby, I can still smell it and think of Christmas right away.

 Gimme 5 of your favourite added ingredients for Christmas cookies that make them somewhat unique.
