Yesterday I received a nice early Christmas gift from my nurse practitioner. My A1c was 6.5!! I can now add a piece of fruit to my diet each day. I am so excited. Yes it will raise my A1c a little but also prevent berry berry or other unwanted health risks from long-term nutrition minus fruit. I bought frozen sugar free peach slices and bing cherries! MMMmmmmmmm :shop:

Weather Alert! They are predicting a low of 75F this weekend!! I feel like Christmas is definitely close by when the lower temps finally fall under 85. This morning at 5:15am it was 87F outside so you can see how wonderful it would be to wake up not being hot!! I'll take the over 100 temps if we get lower morning temps! Hooray! :carolbells:

Wow that is a Christmas cool down after the high temps you've had. Enjoy! :snowink:

I'm really glad to see August is leaving. Bring on September. We'll be a month closer to Christmas.

I hung a Fall wreath this morning. It'll stay up until Thanksgiving then I'll replace it with a Christmas one. :wreath:

I took a wreath making class a few years back. I really should make a new Christmas one this year. :treeclap:

With all the rain we've had I've mowed my yard at least twice a week this summer. That never happens. I'm actually looking forward to raking leaves and getting my yard ready for my Christmas decorations. :leafjump:

As soon as the tomatoes are finished in the garden I'll take the tomato cages and turn them into little Christmas trees and string them with lights. They are really cute that way. :treewiggle:

We've been blessed with an abundant garden, which means an abundance of canned goods to give away as Christmas gifts. :opengifts:

I saw a cute way to wrap an odd sized Christmas present. Wrap the item in tissue then wrap it in aluminum foil bringing the ends to the top and twisting them to look like a giant Hershey's kiss. Don't forget to add a strip of paper to include your greeting. It would be cute for a kids gift. joyelf

One of my favorite Christmas commercials is the little Hershey's kiss bells. :bell1: :bell1: :bell1:

Sometimes the Christmas commercials are better than the movies.

Looks quite possible that we'll hit 2900 Christmas posts by September 1st. :santadance:
