my church does truck treats every year as an alternative to trick or treating

a few years ago i did a christmas decoration theme and handed out candy canes and christmas chocolates.

the last few years i've done camping/outdoor theme and bring my fire pit. the adults appreciate the fire pit while the kids are off playing games

One church here does that and it's always a big hit. I wish more would because it's an easy way to trick or treat.

my church has been doing it for about 15 years. we were one of the only ones in our area when we started doing it. now hardly anyone trick or treats in this area. all the schools hold a trunk or treat, the majority of churches do, plus other clubs and organizations do them.

we do a whole event, snacks, games, crafts the trunk treats, now my fire pit, it's a 4 hour long event now
