I got two Christmas presents today. My dreaded day conference was cancelled due to too many people having conflicts.

the second Christmas present is that I ordered my Dream anniversary ring to be picked up in texas. Black hills with cz's. I got the silver version for our 5th and now the gold for our 10th. Perky hasn't figured out that earrings must follow in a few years to match the gold ring. A future Christmas present maybe.

I can't believe it. I saw Christmas lights on my way home from church tonight. Two seven foot candy canes with a green arch between them.

I don't think they were setting them up. I think they trying to repair them. A small section of lights were out at the bottom. But boy oh boy did I just about jump thru the roof of my car when I saw them.

Some nice views of Tomteland, Santa's Swedish Christmas house. The witch takes over the "spöklov" (Spook break) . Kids in Sweden are out of school for Höstlov (Fall break) the week before Swedish all saints day which is usually the first weekend in November.
I want to go!

The Hallmark Christmas movie marathons begin tonight!! Following the Humane ociety's Hero Dog awards [love these]. On Hallmark Movies they feature "The Christmas Shepherd" featuring a lost German Shepherd. I love this movie and am hoping I can stay up late enough to watch it.

Just read it is National Chocolate Day!! That makes this a great day IF only I had some chocolate. I have to wait for Christmas for my sugar-free chocolates!!

I bought a quart of Halloween eggnog yesterday. It's the same as they sell for Christmas, just in cute Halloween packaging.

We've got orange Halloween lights decorating our front porch. They'll come down the first of November, then we'll start putting up the Christmas lights. It'll probably take us until Thanksgiving to get all of them up.

My favorite minor holiday might just be National half-price Chocolate day on the day after Halloween. I also love half-price day after Christmas.

The Christmas lights were still on when I went passed this house again this morning. Some of the green lights are still not working in the arch.

We've got orange Halloween lights decorating our front porch. They'll come down the first of November, then we'll start putting up the Christmas lights. It'll probably take us until Thanksgiving to get all of them up

yes our neighborhood has many homes with Halloween decorations and lights too. Any lights re fine with me! And then comes Christmas lights, tree lit windows, and all the joy of Christmas beaming into the night sky!
