Good morning my Christmas friends! I see I have a lot to catch up with. I just wanted to let you know that I'm doing wonderful, and I get to go home from the hospital today. I'll try to get back on here later.

Merry Monday Christmas! :D

The first day back to work after a long vacation is always the toughest.
Two of our Christmas traditions are now booked: the "julbord" (Christmas lunch cruise) and the annual boxing day cruise we take the day after Christmas. We try to do these two things even in "destitute years". We also try to go to the Lebanese buffet across the street, but sadly, they are not having one this year. That is okay, we can go eat there anyway during "mellandagar" (the days between Christmas and New Year's) when one is sick of Christmas food. Might be a new tradition!

After a crazy commute this morning because of messy roads from snow and ice (a half-hour ride turned into a 2+ hour one), I was able to come home and put up my Christmas village. Now that everything is up I can take some time to snap some pictures.

I did some more Christmas shopping online today. I am really excited to give a friend an admission ticket to a semi-local Christmas-themed park (Santa's Village in NH). He loves it there!

My friend from Mynamar arrived noonish. My brother picked her up for a quick visit at my sister's house and then they came to my home. I had just finished decorating outside and completing the tree. Well....the tree topper will be added tonight. Our visit was wonderful and we have more this week to come. Now that is a great Christmas gift for sisters of the heart.

Happy St Nicolas Day to all my Christmas friends. I wish we did more to celebrate this on the way to Christmas holiday but it usually falls in the middle of the week and just takes too much effort. My cousin live in Belgium where 5-6 December are the big celebrations.

Looking forward to spending more time with my brother and sister-of-the-heart friend before she leaves for Chicago. It has been a wonderful Christmas blessing! :D

We just finished watching Holiday Inn and White Christmas! Older holiday films are some of my favorites so I bought Amazon streaming copies so I can watch them on my schedule. :smilecc:

Thinking I need to own streaming copies of the original Bishops Wife and Miracle on 34th Street too. It is not Christmas to me unless I watch all these 4 movies plus Its a Wonderful Life. :scene:
