Over the weekend some forecasters started mentioning the possibility of an ice storm for this coming weekend. Eeeeek! The last major ice storm we had here left us without power for 13 days. Even the possibility is scary. I don't even want to think about it so I'll think happy Christmas thoughts instead.

Ice Storms make the landscape beautiful - very Christmasy - but they are dangerous. I have lived through them in Indiana. we spent the days before the storm hit stocking up our pantry, freezer and refrigerator. We hard froze many items in case we lost power - as is usual in these storms - to transfer outside in an underground larder. Sure hope the storm misses you, CK, but Christmas thoughts should chase away those fears. Happy Christmas movies today might be perfect. :smilecc:

My home is still glowing with Christmas lights! Neighborhood children come over to see it at night. The outside looks plain, san Christmas. But our tree, wreaths, garlands, candles, snowmen are all lighting up every room of the house. I don't care if it has been 2 weeks since Christmas, I am keeping Christmas alive in my heart! :scene:

Noel, I love the Christmas spirit! Our outside lights are still up (because it's been about 4 degrees for the last several days)...I don't mind though. Keepin' it Christmassy!

I received some Virtual Reality goggles for Christmas. I can't wait to try out some Christmas content I found!

One of the things I love about this group is hearing about the different areas of the country (and Canada).

Christmas prayers requested for my aunt. She is having a biopsy on Friday to follow up on something found on her mammogram. The dr said it is "nothing" or "nearly nothing" but always stressful to have unexpected procedures. Prayers for peace of mind, physical comfort, and quick results.

We were talking about those type of goggles last night while watching the game. None of us have had the experience wearing them. Please let me know how your Christmas present rates.

I wish our Christmas lights were still up.
I need to build me a large shed out back with a Christmas workshop that I can have decorated year round.
