I had to go into the attic the other day and while I was up there I saw all the Christmas decorations. I had to tell the Snowman statue he had to wait a little longer before coming down. :P

Busy is not a strong enough word to describe this week. It couldn't be busier if it was Christmas. :scene:

Ever thought about putting Christmas decorations up in the summer just to give the neighbors something to talk about.

That would be awesome.
I think I would get some kind of Christmas nickname if I did.

My Christmas heart is sad today because a precious cousin of mine passed to Glory. She fought stage 4 cancer since 2015,her husband passed of a massive heart attack 2.5 weeks ago, and she leaves behind 6 children. She was a joy!
And a good friend and today tears are flowing. One more empty chair at our family Christmas table.

My grandfather was an amazing man. Sometime before I was born or very little he cut a santa sleigh and reindeer "lifesized" out of wood and painted them. He put them on the roof or in the yard every year. I think my aunt and uncle inherited and even still put them out occassionally. I can only imagine if he were alive today he would make a "summer set" with Santa and the Reindeer having a Christmas in July picnic on the lawn..........I wish I had had a fraction of his artistic talent.

Just realized that this month's Rudolph Day is also Ascension day. Guess I have to wear my rudolph socks to the ascension morning picnic. Sounds like too much Christmas fun! It is supposed to warm up to summer temps this weekend, but by Thursday it could be as cold as Christmas again.
