Today I see a specialist about how to proceed. The cost of this surgery is very high and it is not covered by my insurance. So from time to time I may not be at the forum because eye drops,
post exams and then of course surgical recovery. I would appreciate your prayers as we have to save up for this unexpected diagnosis/treatment. Bless you! :angelsnow:

Oh Noel, I'm so sorry to hear this. Of course I will be praying over the whole situation and I hope you will have a speedy recovery.

We will try to keep the Christmas spirit alive here when you're out.

Thank you Christmas Crazy. The surgeon visit produced opposite and worse results: left eye biggest cataract but right eye has diabetic retinopathy.
Left eye surgery scheduled for next Thursday. My vision is much worse than I realized. We are trying to finance costs: PER EYE

Surgeon $5000
Surgery: $4500
Lenses 1600

God is in control and I trust Him to provide. Your prayers are deeply appreciated. Blessings.

Got some sad news today. Brenda, my friend whose sister passed away from aggressive uterine cancer, has now been diagnosed with the same........my heart breaks not only for her but also for her parents and her niece who has come to rely on her. I hope we get to see her in November, our next scheduled trip to Texas. So much bad news lately makes my Christmas heart sad.......

Rain and thunder this morning. I wish I could go back to sleep for some sweet Christmas dreams but I'm up for the day. :D

If memory serves, Brenda is six years older than me, making her (yee gads.........) 58. Her sister who died was younger by a year or two. There is a third older sister whom I am sure is now making a gyn appointment. Her parents are in their late 70's headed to 80s.........and the niece is in her late 20's........They are such a good family. Doing so much good in their community, sometimes our Christmas hearts just don't understand these things. Aside from being sad for my friend, I just don't see how her parents can go through this again......my christmas heart aches for all the sickness and evil in the world.

Today is Christmas in July on QVC. Many items are already selling out because they are on sale at monthly breakdowns. It is great to hear the Christmas music, look at decorations [and toys for kiddos], and enjoy the spirit. No need to shop just enjoy the atmosphere! :smilecc:

Making a list and checking it twice  I need to have everything at eye level after surgery so making a shopping list, moving items to counter height,
and will need to clean house/laundry the day before surgery Wednesday. I will look like a pirate afterwards because I will wear an eye patch protector for 14 days. It is gonna feel like Halloween on the way to Christmas in here soon.
