I got some Christmas summer socks (sneaker socks?) last time we were in TExas. I wear them for summer Rudolph days.

Sadly, I need to do that now for Autumn.

Just got the bad news that Perky's vacation is unpaid. We thought he had worked long enough to earn 10-12 days. It's going to be a lean new year..........but at least the Christmas Cruise is paid for and that includes most food and a visit to Santa's Finnish Home.

On Tuesday afternoon, in the small town I work in, they put up the Christmas decorations that hang from the telephone poles throughout town. Wednesday morning and this morning as I drove to work there was just one of the decorations all lit up. An angel blowing a trumpet, as if she was announcing that Christmas would soon be here.

Shortage of Christmas trees expected this holiday season.
Industry experts say Oregon is in the midst of a tree shortage. Because of that, prices could be slightly higher this year.

Yeah, the Christmas Cruise might not have been the best choice, but I sure am looking forward to it. I'm not going to let it ruin our trip to Texas though. We just won't eat out as much. This was going to be mostly a family trip, no nights in hotel (other than the first, which I might wind up cancelling).......

Mariah Carey has released a new Christmas song named "The Star".
The small snippet I heard below sounded good. Can't wait to hear the whole thing.

In about 10 minutes I am leaving for my annual physical exam. Oh Christmas joy. The 'tests' of course have to be scheduled throughout the end of the year.
This is one of those necessary inconveniences in life. Hope you all have a great day!

yeah, I am already looking at poor man's new year's dinners. One Christmas we made a WWII "murkey" for the fun of it. I recently got a wwII cookbook and one for aunt as a Christmas present. We can have fun looking at it while I am in Texas.

Merry Friday Christmas! Today marks our tenth anniversary. I will be celebrating by some last minute chores and then taking an overnight cruise tonight. I can't wait! Meeting Perky when he gets off work.
