Merry Friday Christmas! Today is a half holiday. I get off at noon and Perky gets off at 2 pm. One more Friday closer to Christmas!

That makes for a longer weekend to relax and watch Christmas movies!

Ha ha, not quite. Since Perky got off just a little early, we did normal Friday shopping and kebab. Then on saturday we went to the cemetery to plant the ferns. We had plan on taking the car, but the battery did not have enough oomph. So what is a short trip by car turned into a day trip by bus. That's okay, we had "fun" just being together. Sunday we paid for our day away with chores. Next weekend is prep weekend for the Texas trip and then soon it's Christmas!

With so few weeks left until Christmas I am struggling to know when to take down Autumn/Thanksgiving decorations and begin the week long process of hanging the greens [Christmas decorations]. What about you?

With so few weeks left until Christmas I am struggling to know when to take down Autumn/Thanksgiving decorations and begin the week long process of hanging the greens [Christmas decorations]. What about you?

We don't really do autumn except for duvet covers. But a few years ago we started treating November as Pre-Advent doing a little bit of decorating each weekend so we were ready for First Advent. In the US, you have the problem of Thanskgiving as I want "thanksgiving" to be fall..........my mother used to transform the house on the day after Thanksgving into Christmas. She did not have to work the day after. For most of my working life I had to work the day after Thanskgiving. It was only at my last job in Texas, at a church, that i two days off!

I notice that youtube already has some of the new Hallmark Christmas movies up. Shhhhh....don't tell them, its my only source of Hallmark Christmas entertainment. I see that Christmas in the Air is up. Might watch that tonight if Star Trek Discover is not loaded on Netflix. (sometimes I have to wait until the next day).

As you already know, we wait till Thanksgiving day to start decorating for Christmas. Except for last year. We started the week of Thanksgiving. Maybe we will again. I sure hope so.
