We have had a rough year! We lost 2 much loved family members. My dear, sweet Daddy. And a young adult nephew in a horrific accident. He was like a child to us. We were still reeling from that when Daddy got sick. And now dealing with my brother...He's like a horrible combination of Scrooge and Grinch, only there's no good in there just waiting to come out. He's an angry elf for sure. I've finally decided to let it go, and focus on all the good of Christmas.

As you know I struggled the first Christmas after my Mom died. I spent it all alone because family celebrated at exclusive resort in Mexico. I grieved the loss of Mom,
and Dad 1.5 years before. Church, prayer and this site helped me live through that period. I determined to live to make them proud and I still strive to do that daily. Both your parents would be so proud of you, CK, and you will see them again in heaven. Hugs and know your friends here love and support you.

Good Morning. I had planned on waiting for the alarm to wake me for church today, but instead I awoke a little after 4am. So after some quiet time, I wanted to begin my day greeting my awesome Christmas Elf friends!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. We did the annual Christmas tree excursion and found a lovely 8 foot tree... which now stand in our living room! We will let it settle tonight and I will put lights on it tomorrow. It was a fun-filled day with of course a little excitement as one of the gang locked their keys in the car at the Christmas tree farm. Unfortunately m, they had to wait for a while before AAA got there, but we all made the best of it by planning our Secret Santa gift exchange and our cookie decorating party (2 different days). I send much love and peace to everyone this evening!!

Kiwidogy, your holiday weekend sounded wonderful. It always great to travel to a tree farm and select on your own personal favorite. And 8ft tall! A little adventure along the way atleast brought you all together in Christmas planning. Enjoy stringing the lights, hanging the ornaments and other greens in your home this week!
