So sorry, it is hard to lose parental figures. There were three sets of friends' parents who took me in.....they are all gone now. I realize that I am one of the few I know who still have both my parents.

Thank you Christmas Crazy and Jolly for your warm condolances.
The ceremony was Catholic, beautiful, and time spent with her children very memorable.
I know she was smiling down on us all in heaven.

Yes, I'll start the addtional meds on January 1. I am a bit concerned about interaction and don't want to rock the boat when we are so remote. Christmas will be enjoyable indeed! then a few days of normal eating, then start the new meds.

Not totally healed yet, but getting better. I'm on vacation now until Jan 2nd. YAY! I didn't get out of bed until 8:30 this morning. It felt good to sleep in. Michelle's vacation starts tomorrow. Kids are already home except for my oldest. He won't be able to make it this year. He only gets Christmas Eve and Christmas Day off from work.

Totally Christmas awesome that you were able to sleep in and you still have children to celebrate the Day! I have been where your other son is -- working CHristmas Eve and day after -- and that precludes traveling. Extra prayer for a blessed Christmas Day for him too!
