Monthly Book Talk

Postby Mrs.Claus » Wed Jul 30, 2008 3:28 pm

After a bit of faltering start - I think we're ready to move on and actually start reading a book  We will start reading July 31 and end August 31 - knowing everyone's busy schedule a full month to read the book, she be okay. Then on September 1st we'll start discussing. Anyone can join in at any time.

August's Book: The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus by L. Frank Baum

This book is in the public domain, so if you can't find it at your library or bookstore, you can access it for free at the CAY website - http://christmasallyear.org/library/laaosctc.php.

Happy Reading!

Sorry..........I was slow to start, and the grief just gets in the way so I am only about 1/4 through the book at this point. I will try to catch up on Labor Day weekend! :flake:

I think catching up won't be much of problem if you can spend about 3 hours total on it (15 minutes here, 10 minutes there). I find that when I'm in the bathroom is a great time to catch up on some reading.

I just threw out my collection of unread catalogs out of the bathroom and put my book in its place. I'll be right on target by Monday! YAY! :jump:
