Where are all my Christmas friends today?

busy.......and got some bad news from home this morning. No one died or anything, but my aunt is being forced to retire from her teaching job of 34 years a bit sooner than she had planned. I don't want to go into details but prayers for transitions are appreciated.

Jolly, sadly that happens a great deal in western civilization nowadays.
Prayers for your aunt, her adjustment, and finances going forward.

New Christmas decorating ideas are starting to flow thru my mind the last couple of days. I'm thinking of adding some thick garland with white lights, red bows, and silver and gold balls to the top of the entertainment center. It just looks too plain. Then maybe something larger for up on top of it also. It's a large area that needs something. Hmm...

What do you all think?

A great idea! I still have areas I want to hang garland, or lights, or both - - at Christmas time. Deck those halls!

The top needs a Christmas Nativity Set. :-) One my grandfather made and painted would look fantastic. I wonder what happened to mine.........I gave it to my family to pass on when I moved here.

You are absolutely correct my Christmas friend! A Nativity would be perfect. The one we have is very small and would get lost up there. I need to go to some estate sales and see if I can pick up a larger one. The figurines would need to be about a foot tall. I've seen them at Hobby Lobby before, but they are way too expensive.
