Magical Elves

Postby Mrs.Claus » Wed Jul 16, 2008 4:53 pm

I've seen some variations on this idea (links below). Basically you get a stuffed elf and hide him/her around the house for the kids to find. Sometimes the elf even gets into mischief. This is a tradition I want to start this year with my family. I think my girls would really like it. And I think hubby would have fun thinking up things for our elf to do. :elf:

I would really like to do this for my children this year. I have been meaning to order my elves for some time now and keep forgetting.

On Rudy days I am trying to think of some escapades for them to get up to but I'm finding it difficult to think of things at the moment. Maybe when the cooler weather comes I'll find it easier to to think of things.

How adorable - I wish I had thought of something like this when my boys were small.

Do you think they would let me do it now they are 23 and 17???

Jodie - Perhaps they would, but they might think mom's gone a little loopy too

I went looking at Bronner's CHRISTmas Wonderland for a stuffed elf. I found a couple elves, but they weren't quite what I was hoping for - they were stiff and not very soft. I'm really looking for a bit more of a stuffed animal kind. I'm going to keep looking though.

Do you know anyone who is rather crafty - perhaps if you had a picture of what you wanted you could get someone to make them for you.

You can usually find soft-plush items at local craft fairs! Keep looking..........you'll find one before Christmas! :smilecc:
