We have yet again thunderstorms and lots of rain.
Yesterday we no sooner got the kids in the pool at swimming lessons then a big storm hit and we had to come back home.
I think the weekend is supposed to be nice. Please! Please! :D :D

I don't know how Summer 08 will go down elsewhere, but here in England, I'm afraid its going to be slightly less soggy repeat of last year.

Here's to hoping the Autumn is dry and glorious! Its the best time of year anyway!

It seldom rains in the daytime in the desert. Our days are very very hot, 114F, with full sun and few clouds. The last 3 nights we've had dust storms and tonight they predict rain after 10pm! I will smell it, hear it, but not see it because the parched earth swallows up each drop before sunrise! :x

Saturday and Sunday were lovely. :snowwow:
Yesterday morning and early afternoon great! :smilecc:
Late afternoon and evening thunderstorms, wind and torrential rain. :x
Today so far bright, breezy and cool. Perfect weather for drying the comforters and bedspread on the line. 8-)

We just had Tropical Storm Fay come by - no rain for us really - just overcast and cloudy. My workplace closed for today but I'll be back tomorrow :-(

It has been really cold (but I still have a touch of bronchitis, so seem to notice it more - the cold air makes me cough and cough).

We had a minus 8C the other day (I think that is the coldest it has been here this year) and it was a top of just 5C.

The last few days have been in the minus's and up to around 10C or 11C.

I saw my first magnolia flowers today - spring is definitely on it way downunder...

Overcast and humd, though not hot. Temp around 20C. Kevan's asthma and allergy took a real bad turn last night. This has been going on since mid-July. I cannot WAIT til Autumn.

 It should feel like Autumn is just a weekend away..........I love Autumn! I adore the colors, aromas, and decorations! But here in the desert it is 110F, full sun, with no clouds. It will be this way until November.

Here in the US, on the nightly news, you've seen the coverage of the severe storms here in Arizona! Near-100mph winds! Thunderstorms, heavy rain in some areas. It blew down our block fence in places! The trees are lying on the ground! Limited damage to the house. We are safe and blessed. But more storms are predicted: desert storms are fierce!

It's a beautiful late summer day in Pittsburgh! Sunshine and blue skies with a temperature of 81 degrees with some high humidity. Can't wait for the snow, though!

The leaden blanket of cloud cover continues. August is going out pretty much the same way the rest of the Summer has; wet and cool. Temps in the high teens celsius. :holly1:

Well I'm not complaining. I hear on the news that the latest hurricane, Gustav, is causing a lot of concern. Parts of the Gulf coast are being evacuated.

And its being used (can you believe this??!!!) as an excuse to push the price of oil up again due to the "weather halting production."

Good golly, peoples' lives are in danger and some consciousless jerks are making money off it. I hope Santa leaves a big runny lump of reindeer poop in their Christmas stockings, this year and for years to come.
