Between the 16th and 19th centuries global temperatures were significantly lower than normal in what was known as a “little ice age”. Charles Dickens grew up during this period and experienced snow for his first eight Christmases. This “White Christmas” experience influenced his writing and began a tradition of expectation for the holidays.

I am fighting the Christmas blues this season. This season I still have not decorated my home interior, but yesterday took me 3 hours to just replace Autumn wreath on front door with Christmas wreath. The front porch is now decorated though.
Normally by this time my Christmas cards are sent, home decorated, and gifts all wrapped. I am certain there is a lesson for me to learn here.........good thing God is a patient King!

We had to make a quick trip to Walmart this afternoon. I really hope I don't have to go again until after Christmas because that place was wild.

I saw an article that said 1 in 3 men wait until Christmas Eve to do their shopping. My man....every year

I am so far behind on my Christmas wrapping. At the rate I'm going ill be lucky to have it all done by Christmas Eve.
