There has been a major change at work and medical personnel are now shifted weekly to work different departments. My Christmas leave was cancelled so my family is going to Indiana on Monday, as scheduled, and I will remain at home. I hope with all my heart they share a wonderful White Christmas with all our extended family throughout the midwest and south!

Oh I'm so sorry my Noel. That's just not right. They could have waited until after Christmas and the new year to make major changes like that. Where is their sense of loyalty towards their employees? Again, that's just not right.

Every year at the school Michelle works at we get some kids names off of the Angel Tree to buy Christmas presents for. This year, one of the names was for a four year old boy. It was so much fun buying for him. It brought back so many memories of buy toys for our boys. I really miss those days.

We buy for the school Christmas Angel Tree to. Last year all our little guy asked for was clothes and a pillow. A pillow....that really got to me. He got those things and some nice toys to. I heard of a lot of people who picked angels this year and that their kids asked for necessities including one that wanted food and toiletries. The lady who got that one went all out in buying for that little angel.

Every year I share the post about people griping because foster kids have asked for expensive items like phones and gaming systems for Christmas. And every year someone has to remind them that they go to school with your children. And they want what your children have. People shouldn't have to be reminded of that.

The older I get the more I understand my parents and in laws saying don't buy us anything for Christmas, all we really want is to enjoy a nice meal and have some family time. That's what it's all about.

A few years ago we decorated a Christmas giving jar. We'd throw loose change of dollar bills in and not count it until Thanksgiving. It's what we bought angel tree gifts and gave to charity. It was fun! I think we need to do that again.
