Life can be so stressful and to be totally honest sometimes adulting just sucks. Yesterday I had a sad day. I don't like making farm decisions or big farm changes without my Dad. And yesterday things just got me down. Dad was great at adulting and I miss his advice. Anyways this morning a friend reminded me that there are people in this world that would love to have my bad days and I just need to be grateful. That's what Dad would have told me. And he'd have said Sis you know what to do....so go do it. So today I'm grateful! And I'm grateful for Christmas friends who listen to my rants and crazy stories and don't kick me off the forum. Thanks friends! :snowgirl:

It's cold and dreary here today. I would like this weather much better if it was the week before Christmas. :treeclap:

It's hard to believe we are so close to our first big Christmas milestone. Almost at 500 posts. :santadance:

I forgot to tell y'all about my new Christmas Village I've started. I'm collecting Department 56 Christmas Story pieces. So far I have Ralphie's house and Ralphie in the pink bunny suit. I'm gonna try and buy at least one new piece every month. I don't know if I'll use the wooden shelf my Dad made my Mom to display them or have my husband make something out of some really old barnwood we have. I'm really excited about it! :snowjump:

Life can be so challenging. I'm almost 55 and thought I would have had it all figured out by now. But sometimes I still feel like a 16 year old boy and lost as ever. So we just have to pull up our britches, plant our foot in the ground and move on. And we think we have it bad? I look at some of the younger generation and wonder if they will ever start adulting. I truly mean ever.

My Mom had a huge Christmas village she set up every year and some of the pieces are Department 56. I’ve got her Christmas village now and I set out a few pieces. I really like the Christmas Vacation house too but there’s just something about A Christmas Story. But if I had the extra $$$ in my Christmas budget you can bet I’d have the Griswold’s house too. :gbhouse: :scene:

I'm enjoying Be My Valentine cakes with my coffee this morning. They're almost as good as Christmas tree cakes. :merrytree:
