Wow - can't believe it - Thanksgiving is fast approaching (October 13)! Now that my daughter's birthday has passed, we can start decorating for autumn and thanksgiving.
My son's birthday is October 9th so that used to mean a busy weekend for us. As we're all long distance now, I'll send a card and gift to him and Kevan and I will have our Thanksgiving au deux.
Two weekends til Thanksgiving!!! Our anniversary falls on Thanksgiving this year as well so double celebration. Does this mean I get to eat double the dessert?

Not quite in one day. We had the big extended family dinner on Sunday and then we had our immediate family on Monday. I'm not really sure if I could do 2 turkey dinners in one day. LOL
My kids don't go back till Tuesday. I can't wait for Thanksgiving. I just love Autumn and for me Thanksgiving kicks off the whole season. Plus it's a great time to spend with ALL the family.
It felt and smelled a little like Thanksgiving and Christmas in our house yesterday. I cooked up a turkey I bought on sale in the spring. I was saving it for Thanksgiving but Turkeys went on sale at No Frills last week for 99 cents a pound, so I picked another up for Thanksgiving. Too bad I didn't have a larger freezer I would have bought one for Christmas as well.
I got a great buy on two large chickens three weeks ago. We've eaten one and I think I'll hold onto the second one for Thanksgiving, as I've no idea if the special will be repeated before then. They don't really "do" turkey here in England until Christmas.
I wondering whether to do a dish of stuffing or stuffing balls for a side dish.........yummm!
Just looking out the front room window at the tops of some of the trees. They're starting to turn colour nicely.
You are right Merry Sage time is just flying. I can't believe Thanksgiving is next weekend. I am so excited, we are taking the kids out of school Friday and going to DSister and DBIL in Toronto.
