Here are some milestones:
300 days to Christmas - February 28th
200 days to Christmas - June 8th
100 days to Christmas - September 16th
50 Days to Christmas - November 5th

And then there are many events along the way to fill in the year

Easter
Christmas In July
Halloween
And all the other special days that each country/state/town/family celebrate
