I thought we did so well last year with 1072 posts especially since starting in March that we might give a try for 1200 posts this year.
In this thread you can talk about anything - how life is going, memorable moments, frustrations, joys, etc. BUT REMEMBER there's only one "rule" and that is the word 'Christmas' must be used in each post.
This Christmas seemed to come and go and not much more happened. The kids, of course, loved it and that's a big thing. We did more spiritual things than in previous years and that focus was good. Of course we did our crazy whirlwind visiting, which I liked this year. I guess it might be all the build up and most people only celebrate for one day instead of the 12 like in the really old days.
So glad to see this thread restarted for 2009. Getting 1200 posts by Christmas will be no problem.

Looks like I might be making a little (very little - but every bit counts) extra money this year. I've been asked to help out with childcare at the kids school. It's after school for about a half hour two days a week. I've already started to think of things I could use the extra cash for: my Scholastic book buying habit, my school lunches, paying a bit more on credit cards, and even just tucking it away for Christmas. Definitely need to figure out what to use it for before I have it spent 10 times over. LOL
Hi everyone, I would love to help with bringing the post count to 1200. I just joined the CAY community today! I am already planning for Christmas 2009 since we will be celebrating it at my house for my husbands family.

Well I just updated the countdown and thought I would let you all know the milestone dates to look forward to:
300 days to Christmas - February 28th 200 days to Christmas - June 8th 100 days to Christmas - September 16th 50 days to Christmas - November 5th
Dont forget we have Easter, Christmas in July and Halloween amongst other special days to keep us busy the whole year.
Are we doing a Grand Plan thread again this year - I think it is a good idea and it really does help me get prepared.
I have bought quite a few presents for next Christmas at the end of year sales and they are tucked safely away in my robe. The shops must have sold out of cards and wrapping paper because I did not see any of these still there when I went shopping for next Christmas...
I was out shopping today and the stores here still have lots of Christmas stuff. I've bought a few things, but not nearly as much as I did at the after Christmas sales last year. I want to use up all the paper and bags and ribbons that I have before I buy any more. And I have tons of cards left over from this year so I have resisited buying those too. And I've only bought a couple of gifts for next year so far.
I took so many pictures this Christmas. I've already started working on my scrapbook layouts.

Thought this was interesting. I bought dd a 'piggy' bank when she was born and every night we put our spare change in it. When It gets full we roll the change and put it in her savings account. She has more money than I do. lol
I've already restarted my savings for Christmas 2009. I scrimp and save all year just to splurge at Christmas.

Welcome nettescraps! Noel, I am feeling a little of the after Christmas blues myself. I don't want to take anything Christmassy down at all. I know I must very soon though. AHH! I wish I could leave it up all year!! We have our first major snowstorm of 09 happening. All buses in our area cancelled! As always when buses are cancelled DD's wish they weren't and DS is celebrating the fact that 3rd day back from holidays he has a snow day. lol
Mrs. Claus Congratulations on getting the job! Every little bit helps that's for sure.I know this first hand. I have earned extra money taking care of a little one 4 days a week. I saved some of this money to buy presents for the kids this past Christmas. It hasn't been a lot of money, but it feels good that I have been able to contribute something. Way to go!!!!!
This Christmas we received a new digital camera. It's really nice and we've been taking pictures like crazy. The girls are even using it. I'm going to try to take a picture of all my ornaments for my Christmas notebook.
Jodie, we'll do the Christmas plan again this year. In 2008 I stuck it out longer than any other year, I made it all the way to the second week in October.
Merry--I just checked out your blog. It's really good. I'd love to keep an online journal--hopefully I can find the time.
I'm working from my home office today. It's an absolute mess since I've let so many things pile up. Now that Christmas is over things are slowly getting back to normal.
I got 2 packages in the mail today. Both scrapbooking supplies I ordered from ebay.

Thanks chick. It's a perpetual work in progress. I'm always tinkering with the look. Tho I think I've finally got the name and purpose of it down. Very therapeutic, journalling is. Whether you do it online or on paper.
