The place for Christmas and non-Christmas chatter.

I have started my Spring cleaning. I already have several huge boxes of clothes and toys. Some I'll give away to friends and the rest I'll donate to the thrift shop.

I had to go to the grocery store today. I hate to shop for groceries because everything is so expensive. It's really depressing. I stopped by a local discount store and they had some toys on clearance. I bought dd a CandyLand game. She's too small for it now so I thought I'd put it up for Christmas. My best friend has 4 children under the age of 7. She has never been a year round Christmas shopper but this year she has already started shopping for her kids. :shop: Everyone is just so afraid of this economic mess.

CandyKane - I can't wait for the warm weather that's when we'll really be starting the Spring Cleaning. Although we really need to get going on our study-o. The room's practically empty. Only problem is it's out in the hallway and we need to move stuff from one room at the other end to put in the study-o. Ah well hubby will taking a few days off during March Break so hopefully it will get done - this year!

I went to my sister's house on the weekend and she still has her Christmas tree up!!! I was so jealous. She just laughed at me.

Hello everyone,

Sorry I have been MIA for a while - so much going on and Uni is painful this time around (so much work and so little time to get it all done).

I wish I had more time to catch up and read what everyone has been doing, hopefully life will slow down a bit soon and I can breathe again.

Just noticed that CK is doing spring cleaning - well our summer is still here and I am looking forward to autumn (fall) that starts tomorrow, then winter. Winter means Christmas in July. My little Christmas fix in the middle of the year.

I have been watching my Christmas movies while I do my assignments for Uni and it relaxes me so much I fell asleep yesterday. But I am on a study break now and thought that a little bit of Christmas would be just so nice right now.

I still have my big red and white garland up over the unit in the dining room - Dan asked when I was going to take it down and number 2 son said that I was not - that there was no point, I may as well leave it up until Christmas in July now. I just laughed... He said at least that sorts out what theme to have this year - red and white

Noel I noticed that your mother has not been well - I hope she is recovering. You have had to endure some of lifes hardest lessons of late and I wish peace and joy for you and your family. Will keep you in my prayers.

Hello Mrs C, merry Sage, mistletoe misfit, nettescraps and everyone else.
Wishing you all the happiness of Christmas every day of the year :D

Thanks, Jodie, for the prayers/wishes for my Mom. She is doing a little better and we are doing all we can to ease the pain of her long journey.

It was great to read about you, family, Ollie dog, and life! Hugs! :snowwow:

Hi Jodie :ornwave:

Noel--so glad that your Mom is doing some better. :angelsnow:

We're getting snow today. Huge, fluffy flakes. :flake: It looks like a beautiful Christmas card outside. :snowhappy2: :sled:

DD has been sick with the stomach flu. She's feeling a little better today and I'm so glad. When she's sick all she wants is for me to hold and carry her all day long. Poor little thing has run such a high fever.

I did order her some things from the Fisher Price online store and they came in yesterday. I bought her some Easter toys and a singing Elmo and Elmo playset for her birthday. They had some Christmas toys on clearance so I bought a reindeer viewmaster and reels and a Christmas doodle pro. Thought they would make perfect stocking stuffers. :toychase:

Thanks for the well wishes Noel. She's feeling much better today. :smilecc:

Yesterday I went to put the stocking stuffers that I bought into the Christmas gift closet and realized I have so many things already bought. I need to make a list of everything and keep track of it in my Christmas journal. I'm doing pretty good on my Christmas planning considering it's only the first week of March. :shop:

I am so ready for Spring. The daffodils and crocus are all in full bloom now and my forstythia bushes are getting ready to bloom. They are really brightening up a very dreary landscape. :gbhouse:

CandyKane that's just awesome!!! I wish I had a lot of Christmas gifts bought already, but then I wouldn't know what I'd do with myself in December.

My girls are downstairs playing Christmas carols on the keyboard and I didn't even ask them. I guess they must be familiar enough songs for them.

There's been a couple of Christmas movies on the movie channels here. I don't know if they're late, early or someone mixed up the tapes.

The weather these last three days has been absolutely perfect. 80 degrees and lots of sunshine. 8-) Hard to believe we had snow last weekend. Hubby and I worked outside in the yard all day yesterday. We got so much done.

I even managed to get in a little more Spring cleaning. I was hoping to have all my Spring cleaning projects finished by Easter. But at the rate I'm going it'll probably be Christmas! :smilecc:

The forecast is for snow tonight and tomorrow..3 to 5 inches. Usually I'd be really excited about snow, but I'm really ready for Winter to be over. I'm wishing for no more snow until Christmas. :smilecc:
