My work colleagues are insisting that I remove my wintry snowpeople/decorations by the 1st day of Spring next week. That makes me so sad because it's as close to Christmas as I'll get for a while.

SPRING...........it's better with snow! :snowman1:

It's been a whirlwind of busyness this week. I was at school everyday doing something or other. Today is a PA Day - so no school and the beginning of our March Break. I am so glad it's finally here!!! Although now I feeling a bit run down and can feel the stuffiness in my head, so I'm trying to stay in bed, but with the kids off it's been a bit hard. Although they are being rather good about it.

My oldest is now learning to play Silent Night on the keyboard and recorder, of her own choosing. When she starts playing around with either instrument and thinks she hears a bit of a song she knows, then she'll start fiddling around until she hears more of it. When she gets stuck on a note or two, then she'll look around for the music and figure it out. So far she's only done Christmas songs - Joy to the World and Silent Night. Pretty nice! :D

Glad everyone is doing fine and babies are healthy! Can't believe you're already planning for Christmas. After I had a baby, just getting through the day was all I could think of. LOL

The best place would be in the Your Christmas Journal & Photos section. Only members can see posts there.

Hello everyone,

Life is still in the fast lane with work, uni and family these days - it seems the older I get the busier I get. I am waiting for it to slow down some so I can relax and enjoy life a little more. Can you believe we are nearly half way through March already.

We will be organising Christmas in July before we know it...

Congrats on the new babies in the family lilnoelelf.

Have a great day everyone and stay Merry :D

Happy St. Patrick's Day (in a Merry Christmas sort of way)!!!

We're into March Break and the kids have let me sleep in 2 days in a row now!!! I'm loving it! Today we're heading off to the library and the mall, where we'll meet hubby for supper. Hopefully the kids won't want to spend too much money. Normally we just window shop. We have our usual stores we visit - a toy store, a children's clothing store, a book store, and recently added gaming store (to look at Wii games).

Enjoy the day!

Happy St Patricks day to you too Mrs C... What fun day, to be sure, to be sure...

Just did some quick calculations and here they are:

Some milestone dates til Christmas:

April 19th = 250 days to go
June 8th = 200 days to go
July 28th = 150 days to go
September 16th = 100 days to go
November 5th = 50 days to go

I love it when it is all broken up. makes it go so much faster...

And for the Christmas in July Celebrators only 129 days to go until July 25th

April 16th = 100 days til Christmas in July
June 5th = 50 days to go

I'm getting excited, we have around 181 days until we put our Christmas tree up. We always put up our tree on the 100 days til Christmas. My living room looks empty without it. :scene:

Jodie--I love the way you break down the days left until Christmas. It gives us so many little Christmas milestones to look forward to. :smilecc:

Ksrjreed--We always put our tree up the day after Thanksgiving. Although I have been known to sneak Christmas decorations up alot sooner.lol

I have been putting my Christmas tree up earlier and earlier these past couple of years. I always used to put it up the first weekend in December. But last year it went up the second last weekend in November.

It is such a busy time of year, I think it is nice to get it up a bit earlier. Plus there are the outside decorations that must be lit on the 1st of December :D

Edited to add the word 'Christmas'

I bought some new solar lights and I put them out in the garden today. I have seen solar Christmas lights but I've never bought any. I would like to try them but I don't know if the weather would cooperate enough for them to work well here. :lights: :blinky1:

The Christmas solar lights work well in Australia because it is the middle of summer time, so always plenty of sunshine to power them up...

Well it is 8am on Saturday 21st March here this morning and I have been up since 5am -our neighbours dogs bark every morning (for the last 4 years) and he refuses to do anything about it. Some days it is worse than others. But at I can look on the bright side - I have my washing half done, the dog walked, the papers bought and I have extra time to catch up with all my online friends :D

I hope everyone has a great weekend

We went to the movies this afternoon. The girls have been wanting to see Mall Cop and hubby took a vacation day, so we found a theatre playing it and off we went. It was pretty funny and a Christmas-themed movie to boot. It takes place in a mall during Black Friday. We enjoyed it and will probably buy the DVD. It's not a very intellectual movie, just a nice fun, fluff one.

Noel--So glad that you're getting a day off. Hope you can get some rest. :ornwave:

I woke up thinking about Christmas this morning. Guess I must have been dreaming about it. :D

I went to our local garden center today. I found a new swing for my yard. I got a really good deal on it so I'm really happy. I also got a couple of window boxes. I can't wait until it's warm enough to plant them. :smilecc:

This has been a very stressful day and I could really use a Christmas break right now.

Hello to all my Christmas buddies,

I had a lazy day on Sunday and stayed in bed and watched Christmas with the Kranks - it is such a fun movie.

It was nice to take some time for me instead of running around all the time
