It's raining today. The forecast is for rain every day this week. Fortunately after church yesterday I was able to get the rest of my vegetable garden planted. So the rain is a blessing. :holly1:

I've been working on my scrapbook. I really need to get started on my Christmas crafts. :smilecc:

The swine flu is a real concern - please be wise and protect yourself & family as well as you can. Let's hope this is all over by Christmas in July.

The Swine Flu is so scary. I saw on the news this morning where the first US death is suspected..a baby in Texas. How sad.

I am going shopping today for supplies for dd's Sunday School class. I'm going to help them make some crafts for Mother's Day.

I can't believe tomorrow is the last day of the month. Christmas will be back before we know it. :smilecc:

We're getting some pretty nasty weather tonight. Severe thunderstorms with the chance of tornados. I'm glad I have a basement because I'm really scared of storms.

I've been busy printing some Mothers Day cards for the kids at church. They are really cute and should be easy for all the different aged kids to finish.

My Mom took my dd shopping today and they came home with some Mother's Day gifts for me. They got me some flower plants and solar lights for my garden. Mom even bought a card and let dd "sign" it. Too cute! I am just so grateful for the wonderful, loving people in my life.

I got a package in the mail today. It included some things I bought to put up for Christmas. They are racing themed board games and I got them at a terrific bargain. They usually sell for $30 and I picked them up for $4 a piece. I got one for hubby and one for our good friend. They both love racing, and the games are in collectible wooden boxes. They should make great gifts. :smilecc:

It's pouring down rain today. A perfect day to stay inside and watch Christmas movies. :D

Hello to all my Christmas buddies, I miss this happy place when I am so busy.

Not much as happened, work, home and life are moving along at a speedy pace.

I cannot believe we are in May already - it is Mothers Day next weekend and I am off today to buy the mothers a present and post it to them so they get it before the weekend.

I put Bing's White Christmas CD in the car and have been listening to it a lot. It is cold here now with out temps down to 0C overnight and up to 18C of a day. Still not quite winter yet but it sure feels like it is on the way.

We were talking about what ONE other Christmas decoration you would have on your tree (besides lights), if one other was all you could have. I voted for bead garland. Tons of it. Now I miss my tree. :holly1:

This has been a super busy week. I haven't had time much time for anything Christmas related. I miss Christmas! :singing:

We had a severe thunderstorm roll thru this morning, and we've been under a tornado watch all evening. Looks like the next few days will be nothing but more rain. :|

We had a thunderstorm overnight that produced a lot of heavy rain, but thankfully that was it. Today has been so dreary. No sunshine at all. But at least it hasn't been raining.

We are having a Mother's Day cookout at church tomorrow. I've been busy making some deserts. I went to the florists this morning and got my Mom and MiL miniature rose bushes in vases.

I love Mother's Day. (It's almost as good as Christmas). :smilecc:

Happy Mother's Day. I hope everyone is enjoying a very special day.

We went to church today. Dd made me a flower pot recipe holder and a card in Sunday school. Instead of the usual Mother's Day flowers they passed out restaurant gift certificates. We had a cookout right after church and it was alot of fun. Hubby and dd bought me some beautiful roses and a card. We also went to visit my parents and take Mom her gift. So I have had a very good day!

I have just started planning for dd's 2nd b-day party in a couple months. I have found out that a 2 year olds birthday party takes almost as much planning as Christmas. :smilecc:

Sorry I missed wishing everyone a joyous Mother's Day.

My Mom had a lovely one and that made my entire weekend!!!

If you love to order flowers, I do NOT recommend Pro-Flowers. They show pictures of complete arrangements in containers.........the flowers arrive in a box, and the vase in another. It was left on our doorstep by UPS.........I picked them up 2 minutes later and they 24 long-stem roses were HOT to the touchwiltingheads nodded. I cried.......because I splurged on my Mom to give a dream and this company let us both down.

Try FTD or a local florist! No Christmas orders for me at this site!

Does the site not say that that's how the flowers are delivered? It certainly should if it doesn't. Flowers are expensive, you want them as fresh as possible. I'm glad you had a good Mother's Day any way Noel. :holly1:

Sorry to hear about your disappointment Noel. Glad you and your Mom had a special day anyway. :ornwave:

We actually saw some sunshine yesterday. 8-) It was so nice to hang some laundry out on the clothesline and be able to open up the windows in the house. Of course the rain is back today.

I need to order a few things from Amazon today. Think I'll check out a few Christmas items for myself. :smilecc:

Today has been a very hot (90 degrees) and humid day but no rain! I went shopping today. I bought a few things for dd's birthday party. I'm planning for her bday in much the same way that I plan for Christmas. I've divided the things I need to buy over several weeks. That really takes the sting out of the expense of it all.

This week my brother packed up my Fathers computer and took it to his church in Northern Arizona. That would make my Dad happy........every time I went into his study it made me sad to see it just sitting there. My Dad was a retired engineer.......and he loved his computer. My brother is copying all his pictures [he was also an avid photographer] on disc for each of us. So, in reality, my Dad is still giving us Christmas gifts.......this one comes in time for Christmas in July. Oh, how I miss him!
