Its been too windy out to enjoy my usual daily walk, so I had no excuse not to get some paperwork tidied up. That, plus meals and some tidying. I'm still trolling about, looking for tidbits to add to my holiday planner as well. :holly1:

Today was a bit of a blur due to fatigue. Went a 7am meeting before and nodded off much to the disapproval of a supervisor!  At 4pm, left work for my PT job. Home just a few minutes ago to a sleepy DH and sleeping children. It's off to bed I go before the sun rises ..........the light hits the window at 5:30am!

The sun is out today! I wore sandals for the first time this year while I was out doing some errands, so I guess Spring is officially here in my neck of the woods! I've done some housekeeping. Now I'm enjoying the May issue of Country Living (UK) with some tea. DH is out for the day so its nice and quiet.

I hope everyone is having a fab weekend.

The weekend;

I've been blogging for a couple of years now and finally decided hosting it externally was the way to go. More flexibility. So it was off to Wordpress.org for a theme etc... I'm now in the process of migrating selected posts from the two separate blogs I had (one personal/domestic, the other my aromatherapy biz) to the new combination blog.

In between that I've been doing some housekeeping and running errands. Its been a great week weather-wise, if a bit damp over the weekend. Great weather for the London marathon today!

Usually I am weary of the heat this early in our long summer year, but this day I am. Work. Home. CAY then bed. And the circle goes on!

Since DH got a "no" from his job interview, we've pressed ahead with new plans for his small business. The route we took the first time didn't work out, but there's loads else we can do. That's been keeping me busy the past two days. :holly1:

Good for your Merry Sage! Being forward looking and pro-active ensures success!! We're praying for you both! You two can do it!

The hospital laid off 15 more medical personnel. It's down to statistics now........the better they are, the more secure your job. Tense and intense combined with the stress of caring for sick babies. How I need this forum! :scene:

Thanks!

Your post about the job cuts in the hospital you work at is really :razzberry: . How threatening people's livelihoods is supposed to keep them happy and productive I don't know. Lots of prayers and good thoughts your way.

Did some work on my aromatherapy site. A hypnotherapist I know kindly "guest blogged" an article about his speciality. Very interesting. Fussed a bit over the new geranium plant I bought yesterday. I'm so anxious to get out of this apartment and into some place with a bit of yard space. But as that's not going to happen any time soon, I thought this would be a nice placebo.

We went for a walk and got wet. I'm going to pop supper in the oven shortly.

I spent a good part of yesterday making up some EO blends to help with some of the ups and downs of peri menopause. Menostop can't arrive too soon in my book. We went out to dinner with Kevan's father, his wife and several of the family last night. His dad is emigrating to Brittany in France at the end of the week.

Sounds a bit dramatic doesn't it...emigrating to France. Its just across the Channel and there's people who actually live in France and commute by plane to London to work on a daily basis. My, how small the World's gotten eh? Anyway, the FIL bought a farm house there a few years ago. They've been renovating it etc... with the intention of moving there permanently and now its time.

Last night was a sort of send off and a good time was had by all. Its raining and blowing a gale again today. I'm staying in, catch up on some laundry and that stack of reading I have. Steak and pasta for supper tonight.

I have to go to work today. It's only for four hours though, so it's not so bad. After that, we'll probably go to the park or something to enjoy this beautiful weather.

We've just come off a long weekend here in England. Saturday and Sunday were gorgeous with fine sunny weather. I was beginning to wonder if we'd ever get out from under the grey, wet stuff that's been most of May til now.

We didn't do a lot, just got out and enjoyed the days. I think the kids here are on half term holiday. Thats a week...I think. The school year goes into mid-July in England, but they seem to have more time off than in Canada or U.S. Anyway, there's three schools within hollerin' distance of us, so it was nice and quiet this morning. As it usually is when school isn't in session.

Today it's back to business as usual. I've some errands to run, some housekeeping. Kev has an eye exam late this afternoon. A fellow who bought some old computer parts from him over the weekend is supposed to come by later to pick those up.

Have a good day everyone!

We've been busy lately with hubby's business. Perpetual uphill battle getting a new business established. I finished up some Spring cleaning today by taking our bedroom apart so I could give it a good going over. A walk in all this lovely sun is in order later, then pop some chicken in the oven for supper.

I hope everyone is having a good Sunday!

Today I am home with Mom. Her BP started rising on Friday and was up to 240/120 this morning. The nurse came Friday, Saturday and twice today. The chaplain is with her now.........just in case.......and I am trying to hold together emotionally for a busy week at work starting tomorrow. My brother is in China so my sister needs to be here Tues, Thurs, Fri when I am scheduled to work. It is so hard to watch my mother suffer........

We've had a day off today. Its been very busy and more than a bit stressful, getting to the last hurdle with hubby's software business. However, unless something happens to mess it up (shouldn't....hope not!), we now have a great distributor for one of DH's specialist software applications. The rest of the software is ready to go on our website. The website should have gone live today, but will all the extra work, we're shooting for Friday. Monday latest.

We worked til 11:30 pm last night so today we just did a grocery order for delivery then went for a walk. We're both very tired so I think an early night is in order tonight!
