Christmas Decor Already! Wow! They are really getting an early start this year. :scene: I guess I'll have to be content with the Fall things that the stores have out here. :peekleaves2:

I saw a news show the other day that was about Christmas this year and the retailers expectations. They are expecting such a dismal year that it said alot of stores would be trying to push their Christmas items earlier. Guess that's one bright spot for these tough times. :singing:

This is actually pretty typical for Hobby Lobby. Hobby Lobby actually puts their Christmas out around the middle of June every year. My husband and I used to go every year around this time when we lived near one. Now, the nearest Hobby Lobby is about an hour away. :razzberry: Oh well, I'll live. I like the fall items and I've gotten into decorating for fall lately. :peekleaves2:

Our nearest Hobby Lobby is over an hour away. I don't get to go often but I love to go in and browse when I can.

I have gotten several e-mails advertising Christmas in July sales today! :shop:

I got the new Avon Outlet catalog today and they're having a Christmas in July Sale. I just love the Rudolph and Clarice figurine. :rudolph:

Here's some Rudolph trivia.

Q: Songwriter Gerald Marks' biggest hit was "If It Doesn't Snow On Christmas." How many records of the song have been sold? (a) Over 125; (b) over 125,000; or (c) over 125-million!
A: Over 125-million. It was on the flip side of "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer." Both songs earned identical royalties from sales of the original record. Marks also wrote "All of Me" and "Sing A Song of Safety," a series of children's songs used in schools throughout the world.

:pole: Rudolph is one of my favorite Christmas shows and no matter how old I get I enjoy watching it just as much now as I did when I first saw it as a child. :rudolph:

I stopped by the dollar store today and they had Christmas wrap on sale for 50 cents a roll. I didn't buy any but I had to look through the boxes to see what they had. I also bought a new notebook for my Christmas planner. Now I just have to fill it up with all my ideas. :smilecc:

Thanks CandyKane for the trivia on Rudolph the red nosed Reindeer/If it doesn't snow on Christmas. :D
Rudolph is also one of my all time fav Christmas movies. I bought it on video years before I had kids. I was afraid that when I finally had children they might not show it on tv anymore.(silly ol me, of course it's a classic and they will show it forever)
I should buy the DVD version though, one of these days our old VCR is going to stop and I love to watch it any time of the year.
Noel, I remember seeing the reindeer tangled in lights last year. Very cute! Nothing like a great Christmas find in July!! :smilecc:

I saw on the news this morning where Sears is running a big online Christmas in July sale and encouraging people to buy now for Christmas. I'll have to check it out. I wish I lived closer to a big Sears or Kmart store. They still have lay-away programs so that would really help with the Christmas shopping. :shop:

Go to Sears.com and click on Shop Christmas Lane. They have decor and gifts. :shop: When I get time I'm going to check out all the Christmas village pieces. I saw a lion in a cage that looks amazing. :smilecc:

Glad my website suggestion could help spread a little Christmas Cheer ksrjreed. :smilecc:

I noticed your sig has a countdown of the days left until your Christmas tree goes up. Just wondering what the day is? It's our tradition to put our tree up on Thanksgiving night(or the day after Thanksgiving if we're too tired). We have a main tree that we put up in our living room. We also put up a "Princess" themed tree for Santa to leave dd's gifts under. :santagifts:

My family puts our tree up on September 15th, which is the 100 days until Christmas mark on the calender. Everyone loves this day, it's a day were we will listen to Christmas music, drink hot chocolate(no matter what the temp is outside), and of course put up our tree and inside decorations. I will not put up my outside decorations until November 1st, which is when a lot of people around me put up decorations, we have done things like this for seven years and everyone from my wife to my children just love it, and my wife and myself believe we love Christmas so much that we just don't want to have a tree up for a month or so, we want to have it up long enough to enjoy it.. :scene:

September 15---WOW! I think that's the earliest I have ever heard of anyone putting up a Christmas tree. I'm glad that it's such a special day for your family. Don't think it would ever work for us though. We love to decorate for Fall and especially love Halloween. I'm afraid a Christmas tree might clash with all the jack-o-lanterns. :pumpkin: :pumpkin: :pumpkin:
