Byron and I had a nice today. We went to Mchaels and browsed the fall decor and we also went to Yankee Candle Company and bought a few of their fall scents. Finally, we went to the Hallmak ornment premier. There were a few Christmas ornaments there that we are going to go back and get. It was a lot of fun. :scene:

We went to church this morning and have enjoyed a lazy day around the house this afternoon. Thought we'd go to the movies tonight to watch Ice Age 3. I can't wait until we can go and watch this years Christmas movies. :smilecc:

We actually had Christmas in July ads today!! The children wanted their stockings out - LOL! - and I had to reteach them about why we celebrate mid-year! So it won't be long before the Christmas classic dvds are playing at our house! :smilecc: :snowink:

Ice Age 3 is very good. I'm so glad that we went and watched it.

My new dining table was delivered this morning. It's really nice and so much bigger than my old one. It will look great with a Christmas centerpiece on it.

Hubby's taking the day off and we're going to look at flooring samples. I'm putting new flooring in our kitchen, dining, and laundry rooms. My house should look a lot better this Christmas! :D

Found out today yard work goes by fast and is a lot more fun when you have Christmas music on you MP3 player.

I've never tried it with the yardwork but I know that listening to Christmas music can really help with the boredom of house cleaning. :sing: :bell1:

Hubby and I went shopping and we could not agree on one thing. I do so much better when I'm shopping by myself.

Another mild day today, if this is Global Warming I'm all in. Although I do feel bad for the people with triple digit temps, I could not handle that at all, I am a cold weather person through and through.

We had a thunderstorm overnight and into this morning. We got over 2 inches of rain and I'm so glad that I get a break from watering the flowers and veggies. Our vegetable garden is extremely productive this year. I've been helping my Mom and Dad in their garden too. We've been canning and freezing tomatoes and beans today. It'll be so good this winter. We always have some of our home canned vegetables for Christmas dinner. :dinner:

I just saw on the news where ToysRUs is having a huge Christmas in July promotion. Only July 25 they will be having Christmas card making and games for the kids. And the best part is it's all free. I wished we lived closer. We would definitely be going!

I got a Christmas catlog in the mail yesterday. It's for Current Catalog. It was a nice surprise and I've been taking my time browsing through it. It's the first one of the year. :bell1:

Thee were some fall items in the catalog too. I just love the colors of fall. I love this time of year when the catalogs start rolling in. :leafjump:

Just a little fun something to do. You can vote to help choose the cover of LL Beans Christmas catalog. Click here to vote!

I liked them both but I voted for the one with the Christmas tree on the dock. :peek:

I got an email about the St Judes Childrens Research Hospital Hope Book Christmas in July sale. I like to shop from the Hope Book because the money goes to such a good cause. They have some really cute Christmas items...

Heres the link...

After 2 days of thunderstorms and lots and lots of rain, this morning it felt exactly like Fall outside. :cheer:

I have started my Christmas planning journal. And I think if Christmas were tomorrow...

I'd be about 60% ready. :treegifts:

Wow, CandyKane, I am impressed! :smilecc:

We were down to 117F today.........dust storms in the desert...........Christmas is so far away in my memories on days like this one.

But we're 1/2 way through the year..........and CIJ is next weekend, so then I'll feel more Christmasy! :singing:

Re: 1200 POSTS BY CHRISTMAS 2009

Postby mistletoe misfit » Sat Jul 18, 2009 8:10 am

We are having our DD 7th birthday party on the 25th. We have the following already planned; treasure hunt, princess pinata, water balloon toss, jumping on the trampoline, and if it rains bingo. I am looking for a Christmas themed game or activity that could be completed in 10- 15 minutes. DS is attending a friends party that day, so we will be hosting an all girl event. There will be 11 girls ages from 4 to 7.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
Thanks in advance!
