My youngest takes after me with her love of Christmas - although the oldest likes it too, just not to the same extent (like she doesn't get all excited when she sees all the Christmas decorations in the stores in July - lol).

I get my great love of Christmas from my Mom. She always made such special Christmas's for me and my brother and sister. The best Christmas's that I can remember are the ones when we were all very young. We never had a lot of money and never got a lot of gifts during the year. But we always had a wonderful Christmas. My Mom would scrimp and save all year just to buy for us. I can't even describe how wonderful it was. Sometimes I long for the same feeling about Christmas now that I had then. I just hope that I can give my own daughter such memories. :angelmerry:

Like all families, and extended family, that celebrate Christmas together it was always a special event. I, however, am referred to as the Christmas Nut! I plan, decorate, buy gifts/decorations, cards, all year long and do it to the hilt! I love Christmas and it amuses my family/friends at times........and I don't care!

The last few days I have really been in a Fall mood. I bought dd's Halloween costume. She's going to be Little Red Riding Hood. She has a "boyfriend" at church. She's 2, He's 3!! His Mom is looking for him a "Big Bad" Wolf costume so they can trick or treat together. How cute is that!! :pumpkin: :cheer: :pumpkin:

Things have been so busy for me and I really haven't had time to work on my Christmas plans. I'm just so gratelul that I have so much of my Christmas shopping done already. :shop:

That game looks awesome - I'm going to see if I can pick it up here somewhere.

Went and looked at the Christmas decor at Hobby Lobby again, they didn't have their trees out the last time I was there and I need to get a new tree, mine met its demise last year.

I can't believe there is only 127 days left til Christmas. Maybe it's because of the heat wave.
I recently heard of a game called geo caching. It's like a modernized treasure hunt. It's free and sounds like fun for the whole family. Apparently it's been going on for awhile and there are thousands of them around the world.
I was wondering if anyone here had heard of it?
Our family may try it out sometime.

It's pouring down rain this morning. I got quite a shock when I stepped outside. It's so cold. Guess it's time to start dragging out the Fall and Winter clothes. It won't be long until we need them. :peekleaves2:

I woke up thinking about Christmas. Guess I must have been dreaming about it. :sleephat:

Last night I printed a few pages from papertoys.comfor "extra" gifts for some of the kids on my list. They have some really cute paper dolls for girls and all kinds of vehicles for boys plus lots of other stuff. I'm going to print the Santa, Tree, and Nativity set and make them for a little display.

Hopefully I'll find some time to work in my Christmas Journal today. I have a few new ideas to jot down. I also have been keeping a Journal for the other holidays. I can't wait to start decorating for Fall and Halloween. :pumpkin:

I found out about geo caching last year. I've never tried it, but Bronner's does it. Here's a link to their page about it. Bronner's GeoCaching

Thanks Mrs. Claus for the link to Bronners geo cache info. I would love to go there sometime and search for it, as well as check out all their wonderful Christmas items. :smilecc:
DH and I have been discussing trying to find a geo cache in our area. We will probably wait until the fall though, the poison ivy is so heavy around here. I have heard it is fun to do in the winter, but much easier to find due to all the footprints. :snowwow:

I have a friend that does this, haven't myself yet but I am thinking about it, I am also thinking about getting my Fall decor out, but then I would also have to get my Christmas stuff out as well, just to look at it. :scene:

With so many Autumn walllpapers stored on my computer, I thought about adding one to inspire me. But when you have to turn the AC down just to stop sweating, it kinda spoils the mood. I did see some Christmas cards in the hospital gift shop -- and that brightened my day! :gbhouse:

My youngest started kindergarten today, just got a call from his teacher and he is doing fine. Thats a relief and I didn't know how relaxing it is having all the children out of the house and in school. :smilecc:

ksrjreed---So glad that your little one's first day of kindergarten went smoothly. :smilecc:

I have been on the go all day and now I'm totally exhausted. My plan for tonight is to curl up on my couch with a big bowl of popcorn and a good Christmas movie.

You can add me to the 'pooped as a reindeer' exhaustion circle! Up at 5am -- its 10pm and still no dinner or rest! Whew! I definitely need to slow my pace as we grow nearer to Christmas!!! :snowgirl:
