My DH did roasted chicken breasts, scalloped potatoes and broccoli. I'm so proud of him! :dinner:

I love potato scallop. I wish I could get mine to come out like my mother's did. Her's were creamier. I always seem to either over or underdo the milk and butter in the dish. It's not bad, just not as delicious as mom's was. :holly1:

You know, Merry Sage, my sister & I say the same thing when we make one of my Mom's recipe. Whether we follow to a tee or add a little extra, it just isn't as good as Mom's. And hers tasted better too!

I woke up with a rotten cold today, so it was some ready made beef and chicken in sauces I could just heat on the stove. :holly1:

We had Chinese takeout. There's a man for you eh? No idea what's on for tonight. If anything, I feel a bit worse today.

I'm just getting back into my normal routine, having gotten over the worst of a cold. *fingers crossed* There's a shepherd's pie cooking for tonight. Kev's caught the bug now, so I'll make him a nice hot chicken curry tomorrow and use up some leftover pasta sauce for me.

He swears by spicy curry for clearing up congestion. Can't stand the stuff myself, but he likes it.

Well I am still loving the turkey.
The girls and I had hot turkey sandwiches for dinner. DH and DS said enough turkey and they had fried tomato on toast.
I have frozen the rest of the turkey and plan to use it for lunch sandwiches a couple of days next week.
That Turkey just keeps on giving! :smilecc:
